upcoming diy.

I have already started the process of redoing my room and my sister's room. There is currently a coat of paint on each room and myself. Awesome. But, what this means for you is that I'm going to have plenty of diy projects (for YOU) that I'm going to share right on here. These will include, but are not limited to:

  • a chalkboard wall
  • wall decor
  • bulletin board projects
  • a really cool couch
  • and possibly some candles
and since I'll be getting my license relatively soon (as scary as it sounds), I'll probably make one of these in the near future as well...
  • fabric keychain
SO, check back here to find out about all these adventures. I'm gone the 5th-15th, though so hopefully I'll have one or two up before then!

Have an idea for me? Let me know! I'd love to try it out.

wavy hair tutorial.

Okay, this is after a long day so you can see how it holds throughout.

I did a tutorial video the other day (it's my first one, so don't make too much fun of it) but it's for this wavy kinda look. I curl my hair all the time, because it is actually faster for me to do that in the morning. I kinda curl my hair in a weird way when I'm waving it and get a lot of questions on how I do it, so I made a video. It's super easy, and I hope you enjoy!

In the video I have my what were 18" Remy Euronext Extensions in. They're probably about 15 inches now, and the ends are awful, but I refuse to get a new set because my hair is pretty much that length- just super thin, so it doesn't look quite as long. Also, I apologize for the length and transitions of the video. I lost my good video editor awhile back and haven't been able to re-install it yet...

As always, have a great week. Let me know how it goes if you try the tutorial! Thanks for watching.

p.s.- I updated the music page, so go check out some awesome songs I just got!

nails.

hey everyone! i've been having a remotely crazy week, but here i am. now that the cup and a half of cappuccino is kicking in, i think i'll finally post something worthwhile. my first "tutorial" is just a nail one. i got the idea from this awesome blog. lol, so here goes.

colors
base-My Empire... My Rules (Nicole by OPI)
stripes-sand tropez (essie) and chinchilly (essie)
top coat-Start to Finish Base & Top Coat (OPI)

1. paint your base coat.
2. put a dot of each of the other colors and dip a toothpick in it.
3. zig zag the polish on the nail in stripes with both colors.
4. brush the top coat over it once it's dried.

i know, some of my nails are pretty messy. i did this in a hurry, but it is pretty simple and i tried to explain it the best i could. hope you try it out.. enjoy!

p.s. the book i was reading is definitely one of the best i've ever read. don't put me in, coach by mark titus. i literally laughed out loud a lot.
